BOONE, N.C. — Highlighted by Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year Ronald Blair and a league-high-tying five first-team honorees, 13 Appalachian State University football student-athletes earned all-Sun Belt Conference recognition, the conference office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Joining Blair on the first team are offensive lineman Jesse Chapman, linebacker John Law, defensive back Latrell Gibbs and place kicker Zach Matics.
Running back Marcus Cox, offensive linemen Parker Collins and Davante Harris and linebacker Eric Boggs earned second-team recognition and quarterback Taylor Lamb, tight end Barrett Burns, linebacker Devan Stringer and defensive back Doug Middleton were honorable-mention selections.
