Baseball Sets Record For Season Tickets

BOONE, N.C. — In advance of Appalachian State Baseball's home opener, the program has set a record for season tickets sold.

The old record was set in 2013, after the Mountaineers reached an NCAA Regional as the regular season champions of the Southern Conference. The current App State team is coming off a 13-3 win at Western Carolina early in the second season for head coach Kermit Smith.

Making its 2018 debut this weekend at Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium, Appalachian (3-4) faces Marshall (4-2) on Saturday at 1 p.
