Baseball Drops 9-4 Decision to Campbell

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C.Tanner Mann-Fix drove in three runs but assorted miscues proved to be the difference in Appalachian State University baseball’s 9-4 loss to Campbell on Tuesday evening at the North Main Park Complex.

Appalachian State (8-21) committed two errors, threw five wild pitches, left 12 runners on base and had another runner thrown out at the plate in the loss, its third-straight at the hands of Campbell (16-14).

Thanks primarily to Mann-Fix’s two-run triple in the second inning and RBI single in the fourth, App State led 4-3 after four innings, despite the fact that Campbell plated three runs on just one hit in the third.
