BOONE, N.C. – With classes out and no game scheduled on Monday, Appalachian State University baseball volunteered to help the University collect items from dorms around campus to be used in its ‘BIG Sale' at the beginning of the following academic year.
Sponsored by Appalachian and the Community Together (ACT), the ‘BIG Sale' takes donated and left-behind furniture, appliances, clothes and general housing items that are in good condition and sales them at a very discounted price back to the App State students in August.
The Mountaineers provided help during the day, going to dorms on both the East and West Side of campus, loading up left behind items into trucks to be brought back to Legends.
