Fresh off of last Tuesday’s 8-0 win over UNC Asheville, Appalachian State University baseball will send true freshman Breydan Gorham and his 2.00 ERA to the mound on Tuesday night at North Carolina A&T. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at historic War Memorial Stadium in Greensboro.
Gorham worked the first seven innings of last Wednesday’s shutout against UNCA, retiring 21 of the 26 batters that he faced while allowing just three singles and one walk (the other baserunner reached on an error). He struck out five.
The right-handed rookie has gotten better with each start.
