Banks, Anderson to Join Football Radio Broadcast

BOONE, N.C. — Former Appalachian State University football student-athletes Pierre Banks and Karl Anderson will join Appalachian State University football radio broadcasts. Banks will serve as the analyst and Anderson will serve as the sideline reporter for the Appalachian IMG Sports Network, announced by director of athletics Doug Gillin on Friday.

Banks, a former Mountaineer standout on the gridiron, played in an NCAA all-divisions record 62 games from 2004-08. He played in three games as a true freshman before suffering an injury and receiving a medical redshirt. He went on to play in each of the Mountaineers’ 59 games from 2005-08.
