BLOOMINGTON -- Appalachian State sprinters De'Shawn Ballard and Jessica Dixon will compete at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships at the Hayes Track at the Haugh Complex on the campus of Indiana University.
Ballard will represent the Mountaineers in the 200-meter dash. He will compete in the opening round on Saturday at 7:05 p.m., with the finals slated of Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
Ballard missed the majority of the outdoor season due to injury. He enjoyed success in the indoor season and sits second in school history in the event with a time of 21.
