Apps Seeded Eighth in Sun Belt Tournament

NEW ORLEANS - Appalachian State University women’s tennis will head to New Orleans for the 2016 Sun Belt Women’s Tennis Championship taking place from April 22-24 as the ninth seed. The Mountaineers will play No. 8 seed UL Monroe at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans.

Seedings were based on ITA rankings at the end of the regular season as opposed to the conventional head-to-head conference seeding format in other sports.

App State ended the season with a 7-13 record and a 1-2 mark in conference action, including a win over rival Georgia Southern.
