BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men’s tennis (1-1) picked up its first victory with a convincing 7-0 win at Lees-McRae (0-2) Tuesday afternoon in the C.D. Chesley Indoor Tennis Courts.
Appalachian picked up all three doubles matches and six singles contests en route to the shutout victory.
"This was a good match for us to win going into the weekend," said head coach Bob Lake. "We really got off on the right foot winning all three doubles matches and it carried over into singles play.I'm proud of the way we played and I'm excited to see what we bring on Saturday and Sunday".
