BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State reported for fall camp in preparation for the 2017 season on Sunday afternoon. Practice opens on Mondayas the Mountaineers have a handful of acclamation practices before contact begins later in the week.
The 2017 season is the most anticipated since the Mountaineers made the jump to the FBS level. App State went 7-1 in the Sun Belt last season and clinched a share of the conference championship, the program's first since the FCS to FBS move. A season opener at Georgia on ESPN (Sept. 2) awaits the Apps at the end of fall camp.
