Apps Fall to No. 15 Wake Forest in Final Midweek

SHELBY, N.C. – Appalachian State University baseball would lead the ballgame for three innings to start the night before dropping a seven-run fifth inning that allowed No. 15 Wake Forest to get the 10-3 win on Tuesday night at Keeter Stadium.

The Mountaineers (19-33) were led by Chandler Seagle who finished 2-for-3 on the night with a double and an RBI while the 15th-ranked Demon Deacons (36-16) used 14 hits and three innings to score their 10 runs.

Matt Vernon, Drake Zupcic and Conner Leonard also finished with a hit on the night.
