MOUNT PLEASANT, MICH. - Taylor Cimbalist and Ali Williams scored two goals apiece to lead Appalachian State University field hockey (6-8, 2-3 MAC) to a 5-0 win over Central Michigan (0-13, 0-3 MAC) on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Chloe Bell also scored her first career goal and goalkeeper Rachel Gaines picked up her sixth victory and third shutout of the season.
With six wins this season, head coach Meghan Dawson has surpassed her single-season win total of five from her first season in 2015. This is also the first six-win season for the Mountaineers since 2009.
