Appalachian Ski Mtn. hopes to open for the first day of the 2017-18 winter season on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23.
App Ski Mtn. is making more snow Wednesday night, and an official decision as to the opening of the slopes will be made first thing Thursday morning. If able, the slopes will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.
Appalachian Ski Mtn. made snow for the first night of the 2017-18 season Sunday, Nov. 19 into Monday morning. The low for the night was 22.9 degrees and snowmakers worked hard to capitalize on every minute of snowmaking weather.
