CONWAY, S.C. – The App State tennis team opened their 2023 schedule Friday and Saturday at the Lynn Stevens Memorial Invitational in Conway, S.C. The event was hosted by Coastal Carolina.
The team competed in doubles and singles action on both days, and played teams from Coastal Carolina, Queens University and Wofford University.
In head coach Hannah Fetters' first competition as head coach at App State, her squad won two of three doubles matches on Friday. She saw three Mountaineers win their singles match over the course of the two-day event.
Junior Olwyn Ryan-Bovey opened the tournament with an undefeated day, pairing up with Brooke Demerath and winning her lone doubles match of the day against Queens.
