BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University softball will play host to Texas State for the first time ever with a three-game set on Friday and Saturday. Game one is set for 6 p.m. on Friday night and Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. inside Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium.
The Mountaineers (9-40, 2-19 Sun Belt) are looking to snap an 11-game skid while the Bobcats (30-18, 9-9 Sun Belt) have won eight of their last 10 dating back to April 6. Starting with the offensive side of things, these are the two bottom teams in the conference according to batting average.
