BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State softball travels to Lafayette, La. this weekend to face nationally-ranked Louisiana in the second weekend of Sun Belt Conference play. The three-game series begins on Saturday, March 17, with a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The series finale is set for Sunday, March 18 at 12 p.m. ET.
The last matchup between the Mountaineers and the Ragin' Cajuns was during the 2016 campaign. Louisiana swept the series on their home turf with three five-inning wins.
The Mountaineers are coming off of a successful conference-opening weekend, finishing 2-1 against the ULM Warhawks.
