Appalachian State University baseball third baseman Beau Myers left his usual position to pitch to his brother Wil for the 2016 MLB Home Run Derby in San Diego’s Petco Park on Monday evening.
The Myers brothers came out to a loud ovation from Wil’s usual home crowd and the roars only escalated as Beau’s first two throws connected with Wil’s bat, sending them way passed the yard. Despite the hype and stage of the moment, the brothers shared a respite for laughter halfway through the round as one of Beau’s throws got away from him, hitting Wil lightly on the side.
