App State Soccer Suffers First Setback of Season at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After matching its best start to the season in program history, App State Soccer suffered its first setback of 2025 on Sunday, falling 2-0 on the road to William & Mary.

The Tribe (1-2-1) broke a scoreless tie in the 54th minute when Ivey Crain was able to outrun the App State defense and evade a charging Anna Claire Jacobi who came off her line trying to foil the scoring chance.

The home team added a goal in the 76th minute when Lindsay Wilson delivered a pinpoint shot into the top-left corner of the goal.
