BOONE, N.C. — Ellie Garrison's first-half strike proved to be the difference as App State capped its regular season with a 1-0 victory over Georgia Southern on Wednesday night at The Valley.
Garrison netted her fifth goal of the season in the 33rd minute, finishing off a pass from Reagan Sturgill to give the Mountaineers a lead they would not relinquish.
With the win, App State finished the season 7-7-3 overall and 3-4-3 in Sun Belt play, marking its third straight seven-win season for the first time since 2014-16.
