BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University women's track and field will host the Mountaineer Open on Saturday, April 30 in Boone.
The meet will mark the first of the outdoor season to be hosted by the Mountaineers this season. The following teams will be making their way to the High Country: Southern Wesleyan, Tennessee Wesleyan, Emmanuel (GA), Voorhees, Augusta, Lenoir-Rhyne, Salem College, Gardner-Webb, College of Charleston, Morehead State, Montreat, Anderson, High Point, Charlotte, VMI, Wingate, Carson Newman, Lincoln Memorial, Guilford, Bryan and UNCG.
Last weekend, the Mountaineers posted many top performances including Tristin Van Ord who competed at the Virginia Challenge this weekend and ran the 5,000-meter race today.
