BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State’s most experienced group during last season’s 11-win campaign was their wide receivers. A trio of seniors were on the receiving end of the majority of quarterback Taylor Lamb’s school-record 31 touchdown passes.
If Lamb is to get within striking distance of his own record during 2016, his youthful group of receivers will have blossomed into a capable and explosive group. Second-year wide receivers coach Justin Watts faces a tough task in replacing the Mountaineers’ top two wide outs, but his receivers have been up to the challenge.
