First of eight preview installments through Sunday as App State opens the 2016 season
BOONE, N.C. – Taylor Lamb begins his junior year having made 23 consecutive starts. Twenty-three.
Lamb, only a junior, has two seasons left at the helm of the Appalachian State offense and has gone from a wide-eyed redshirt freshman in the Big House to take command signal caller of the Mountaineers’ offense as the season opens next Thursday night (Sept. 1) at No. 9 Tennessee. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. (TV: SEC NETWORK) in Neyland Stadium.
Lamb steers the Apps’ run-first ship and has become a coach – naturally – on the field.
