App State Nets First Road Win at Radford

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women’s tennis (2-5) rolled past Radford (0-3) by a score of 6-1 on Saturday for the first road win of the season in Virginia.

Appalachian took home two of three doubles matches and five of six singles victories for the win. The Mountaineers gave a resilient performance after falling in the past two contests.

The Apps started off fast with Heidi Swope and McKayla Zupan downing Drousile Dzeuboue/Claire Nguyen, 6-1 in a matchup between the No. 2 duos. Swope and Zupan improve to 4-3 this season for a team-high in double victories.
