App State men’s basketball dominates in home opener

App State dominated Ferrum 83-56 in its home opener, earning head coach Dustin Kerns his first win with the Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers displayed their ability to produce a balanced attack as five Mountaineers scored in double figures, and two nearly came away with double-double’s.

Senior forward Isaac Johnson put up 15 points and nine rebounds, while junior guard Justin Forrest added 17 points. Senior guard O’Showen Williams also scored 13 points, along with 10 points from redshirt sophomore James Lewis Jr.
