WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Appalachian State University athletics held its inaugural Endowment Celebration on Tuesday evening at the IMG headquarters in downtown Winston-Salem.
The event was organized as a celebration and show of appreciation for all donors to the Appalachian State athletics’ endowment fund. There are currently more than 100 endowments established to support Appalachian State athletics’ scholarships and programs.
Three current student-athletes — women’s basketball’s Kaila Craven, football’s Bentlee Critcher and wrestling’s Denzel Dejournette — shared personal stories about their life-changing experiences in athletics and thanked donors for making a difference in the lives of all App State student-athletes.
