App State Heads Down to Georgia for Final Road Games

BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State softball heads to Statesboro, Ga., for the final road series of the regular season against Georgia Southern. With just six Sun Belt games left in two remaining series, the Mountaineers look to improve their record.

App State most recently split with Gardner-Webb, a 28-24 Big South opponent, for their final midweek nonconference matchup.

The Apps are within five conference wins of the Georgia Southern Eagles. As former SoCon rivals, App State is 13-44 overall against Georgia Southern.

Last season when the Eagles came to Boone, the Mountaineers held them to a scoreless ball game through the full seven innings in game one of the series.
