BOONE, N.C. – App State Baseball trimmed a six-run deficit to two in the middle innings and retired 11 consecutive batters at one point in the contest but fell to ETSU 13-6 on Tuesday at Smith Stadium.
After falling behind 6-0 early, App State (21-19) battled back in the contest. Juan Correa uncorked a three-run home run in the third inning – a 420-foot blast to center field – to get the Mountaineers on the scoreboard.
