SAN MARCOS, Texas – The App State Mountaineers dropped a tight contest to the No. 19 Texas State Bobcats 6-0 on Friday. Sejal Neas pitched well in the game, going the distance and allowing just one earned run on four hits.
The Mountaineers (15-11, 3-1 SBC) kept it close, keeping the Bobcats (24-7, 3-1 SBC) scoreless through three innings, but a run in the fourth would be all they needed to secure the win. Kayt Houston stayed hot at the plate despite the loss, tallying two hits and reaching base all three times she stepped to the plate.
