DECATUR, GA. – Appalachian State University fumbled to the Georgia State Panthers in Game Three of the weekend conference series on Sunday at the Robert E. Heck Softball Complex in Decatur, Ga.
After jumping out to a four-run lead in the opening inning, Appalachian State (12-16, 0-6 SBC) faltered in the second half giving up a grand slam to tie up the score, and Georgia State (21-11, 7-2 SBC) tacked on five more to take the conference sweep, 9-4.
App State mustered up eight hits with Natalie Orcutt and Cara Parker both smacking out two apiece and four knocked in RBI including Jenny Dodd, Haley Stewart, Ally Walters and Keri White.
