BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women’s tennis displayed a solid performance in the opening fall tournament at the Elon Invitational in Elon, N.C. this weekend.
Appalachian turned in eight wins in singles play and four victories in doubles competition. The Apps were led by Devin Knors and Heidi Swope, who both notched a pair of wins, while Knors reached the semifinals in the Phoenix bracket, and Swope won matches in the consolation Powell bracket.
Joining Knors in the Maroon bracket was Marisa Anthony, as the junior captured her first-round match as well.
