BOONE, N.C. — Saturday's home-opening football game against Southern Miss will not be played because of increasing concerns related to Hurricane Florence, and several Appalachian State Athletics events planned for this weekend have also been rescheduled.
The following home sports events are being rescheduled:
- Women's soccer's Sun Belt opener vs. South Alabama, originally scheduled for Friday, has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 14 (time TBD).
- Women's soccer's match vs. Little Rock, originally scheduled for Sunday, has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
