BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State field hockey's inaugural season in the Mid-American Conference features six league matches as part of the 2017 schedule, Head Coach Meghan Dawson announced on Tuesday. The slate also includes four contests against NCAA Tournament teams from 2016 and features three ACC opponents.
App State field hockey announced its acceptance as an affiliate member of the MAC on July 5, 2016. The MAC consists of seven field hockey programs – five from full MAC membership (Ball State, Central Michigan, Kent State, Longwood, Miami, and Ohio) and two affiliate members (Appalachian State and Longwood).
