BOONE, N.C. – A Mountaineer Impact, A Drive for Excellence has received a generous gift of nearly a half-million dollars to establish a fully endowed football scholarship at Appalachian State University.
In concert with the gift, which is being given by an anonymous benefactor and App State graduate who has been a member of the Yosef Club since the 1970s, the scholarship will be geared toward student-athletes majoring in accounting or attending the Walker College of Business.
"We are thankful that members of the App State community continue to show a strong commitment to the future of our great university and the role athletics play in it," App State Director of Athletics Doug Gillin said.
