BOONE, N.C. – Three teams from Appalachian State Athletics rank among the top 10 percent in academic progress rate for their sport and were honored with APR Public Recognition Awards by the NCAA this week.
App State women's golf, women's soccer and women's tennis all received the honor, which is based on the most recent multiyear APRs through the 2016-17 academic year.
The Mountaineer women's golf program earns the Public Recognition Award for the fifth straight year, while women's soccer and women's tennis are both receiving the honor for the second consecutive season.
Among Sun Belt schools, only South Alabama and ULM had more teams recognized this year than App State.
