Update: Goalie Frederik Andersen recently got new pads but hasn't had much use for them. He's made one start since the Christmas break as John Gibson has taken over in net.
"You want to be ready for the opportunity when you get it," Andersen said. "Gibby's been playing well. It's not my time right now but I'm working hard for whenever that is."
Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau was noncommittal but figures to give Andersen a start in the last half of this eight-game stretch at home.
