TV writers sell onetime haunt of Katharine Hepburn, Boris Karloff

“Joey” creators Scott Silveri and his wife, Shana Goldberg-Meehan, have sold a Beverly Crest home with its own storyline for $7.4 million.

The history-rich property, which has been owned and occupied by such acting greats as Katharine Hepburn and Boris Karloff, came on the market last month at $7.395 million. Hepburn, who won an Oscar for the 1953 movie “Roman Holiday,” lived in the house for five years before selling to Karloff, known for his portrayal of the monster in the 1930s “Frankenstein” films.

Eric Burdon of ’60s rock band “The Animals” later lived in the home.
