With the 2018-19 season over for 15 NHL teams, the next event they have to look forward to is the NHL Draft Lottery. Yesterday evening, these teams found out what draft position they would hold for the first round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft that is being held in Vancouver, British Columbia, on June 21, 2019. The Anaheim Ducks dropped one spot and will be drafting 9th overall.
It is rather disappointing to see the Ducks drop from 8th to 9th. Their chances of drafting a franchise changing player grow slimmer the lower their draft pick.
