Singer Charli XCX buys a Hollywood Hills Tudor that breaks the design rules

Singer-songwriter Charli XCX, who will launch a clothing line this fall, has bought a vintage Tudor-style house in Hollywood Hills for $2.815 million.

The restored 1920s home has such fanciful handcrafted details as a brick façade in which some stones are turned in different directions.

The eccentric brickwork continues indoors on the three fireplaces. Whimsical handcrafted doors and rustic light fixtures add to the fairytale ambience. Diamond-shaped leaded-glass windows are in keeping with the Tudor style.

Half-timbered accents and an under-stair closet with an arched door add charm to the entry.

A two-story living room with a steeply pitched wood-beam ceiling, a formal dining room, four bedrooms and four bathrooms are within the 4,423 square feet of living space.
