The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is reviewing a video showing deputies holding down and striking a man who is face down on the ground.
The video was taken Sunday in East Los Angeles. Details about the incident were not immediately available.
The video, first aired by KABC-TV, shows a deputy tackling a man to the ground while another deputy, who was already on the ground, appears to grab at the man.
A third deputy standing nearby strikes the man at least 15 times with a flashlight as the other deputies detain him.
