Ryan Kesler may not play next season. That reality is currently staring right at the Anaheim Ducks, but how much does it actually concern them?
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, one of the pre-eminent insiders of the game, reported that Kesler’s upcoming season was in jeopardy on May 25th. About a month later on draft night, Ducks’ general manager Bob Murray kindly told Friedman to “keep throwing spaghetti at the wall” through an interview with The Athletic’s Eric Stephens. He then proceeded to paint a grim picture of Kesler’s health, doing nothing to abate Friedman’s reporting.
