Tonight, the Anaheim Ducks will host the Detroit Red Wings exactly 25 years to the day of the Inaugural Game back in 1993, wearing their throwback whites during warmups and christening the redesigned black throwbacks as the club’s new and official third. That’s another way to start the 25th season eh? Well 25 years ago, the Ducks ended up falling to the Wings 7-2. But it’s a new era for both teams so perhaps it will end on more favorably after tonight’s home opener.
