The Ducks scored three times in the first period en route to a 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators at Honda Center. Anaheim scored twice 12 seconds apart (Sami Vatanen & Andrew Cogliano) in the first for their fastest two goals scored since Jan. 19, 2013 at Vancouver (two goals in 11 seconds, Corey Perry & Kyle Palmieri). Several season firsts were recorded by Anaheim skaters, including Cogliano (first goal of season), Chris Stewart (first points as a Duck, 1-2=3), Clayton Stoner (first assist of season), Vatanen (first assist of season) and Korbinian Holzer (first point as a Duck, 0-1=1).
