PGA golfer Shigeki Maruyama sells Bel-Air compound for $14.75 million

Professional golfer Shigeki Maruyama, who has earned a little over $14.7 million for his career on the PGA tour, has sold his home in Bel-Air for $14.75 million.

The Modern-style home designed by architect Ted Tokio Tanaka originally came on the market in 2013 for $19.8 million and was more recently priced at $16.5 million. Maruyama bought the house in 2004 for $7.6 million, records show.

Set on a 3.2-acre promontory, the three-story home features floor-to-ceiling glass, multi-level walkways, a glass-enclosed elevator and outdoor terraces that take in downtown, reservoir and ocean views.

Some 13,300 square feet of voluminous space includes a central hall, a gym, a media room, a sauna and an office.
