Seems they could choose between Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke for the outstanding pitching performance in July.
On Monday Major League Baseball named Kershaw the National League Pitcher of the Month for July.
Given that he went 3-0 with a 0.27 ERA, 0.64 WHIP, struck out 45 and walked just two in 33 innings, and is currently riding a 37-inning scoreless streak, his selection might have seemed obvious.
But considering that teammate Zack Greinke put together a 45 2/3-inning scoreless streak of his own, went 4-0 with a 0.95 ERA and 0.58 WHIP in July, the Kershaw selection was not quite so clear.
