The Kings will open their 50th anniversary season on Oct. 12 at San Jose, play at Staples Center for the first time in the new season on Oct. 14, and will take a nine-game trip in the month of December, according to the schedule released Tuesday by the NHL.
The Ducks will open on the road for the seventh straight season, with a five-game trip, and won’t play their first game at Honda Center until Oct. 23, when they play host to the Vancouver Canucks.
