To the editor: The post-midnight fireworks show Tuesday put on for a private party thrown by Khloe Kardashian woke up me and and most of my neighborhood. ("Disruptive Kardashian fireworks show sparks calls for investigation," Aug. 27)
What's upsetting is not only the arrogance of the person responsible for the event but also the way everyone in various government agencies are pointing fingers about who did or did not permit it.
This reflects a huge problem in this country: Rich people can do whatever they want, and the government does not or cannot do anything about it.
