In a game filled with drama, the captain returned, a core piece got demoted, but the Ducks secured a win

The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Utah Mammoth by a final score of 3-2, snapping a three-game losing streak. The Mammoth stifled the Ducks in the neutral zone all night, killed any transition plays, and forced the Ducks to pivot to a Greg Cronin special, dump and chase. The game dragged through the first two periods because of Utah's execution of their defensive strategy. However, the excitement ramped up in the third period when the Ducks turned the tables late, which culminated in a spectacular play to help secure the two points.

Down, but not out

Very late in the third period, the Ducks were down 2-1 to the Mammoth.
