Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm joined the team on Tuesday after he secured a work visa and is close to making his season debut.
Lindholm arrived in Columbus, Ohio, via Copenhagen and Chicago, and skated with teammates for the first time since he signed a six-year contract extension worth $5.25 million annually.
“It was a really good feeling,” Lindholm said on a conference call. “I’m just happy to get back on the ice, and hopefully I’ll be playing some hockey [soon].”
Lindholm didn’t know when he would play but said, “I want to get back as soon as possible.
