The Ducks today announced multiple organizational updates relating to both the big club as well as the AHL-affiliated San Diego Gulls.
Dallas Eakins, head coach of the Gulls since their inception 3 years ago, has been signed to a multi-year contract extension. Per club policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Eakins has led the Gulls to a 118-71-10-5 record with 2 Calder Cup Playoff appearances in that span. Eakins has long been considered to be an integral part of a Ducks development system many in the hockey world see as one of the better ones in the NHL.
