The Ducks made a move to change up their NHL-worst offense when they acquired left wing David Perron and defenseman Adam Clendening from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for left wing Carl Hagelin in a trade announced late Friday night.
Ducks General Manager Bob Murray and Pittsburgh General Manager Jim Rutherford conducted the conference call for the trade following Anaheim’s 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars. Murray is expected to comment Saturday.
Perron, 27, is a two-time 20-goal scorer with four goals and 12 assists in 43 games this season.
